Should I be left on my own?
To break up the monotony of clearing the garage I decided to practice a stitch & glue joint on a small panel of 9mm ply.
Into the workmate it went, out came the power planner (most deadly of all my power tools) and before I'd made the first pass
over the wood there was a blue flash and the planner stopped working. Yes, I'd planned through it's own cable! I felt just a
little bit silly. So silly that I made a pact with myself never to speak of this day (just write it up on the blog where no-one
will ever see it!). 'I'm off to the shops' I shouted into the house and, a couple of hours later the cable was repaired like nothing
had happened.
